Port System Authority of Stretto
The Port System Authority of Stretto was established in implementation of art. 7, paragraph 1, of Legislative Decree 169/2016 on the “Reorganization, rationalization and simplification of the regulations concerning the Port Authorities” referred to Legge 28 gennaio 1994, successivamente modificato dall’art. 22 bis del D.L. 23/10/2018 n. 119, convertito dalla Legge 17/12/2018 n. 136.
The Entity has legal personality under public law and is endowed with budgetary and financial autonomy.
Its main tasks are those of direction, planning, control, coordination, promotion of port operations and other commercial and industrial activities carried out. in the ports of Messina, Tremestieri, Milazzo, Villa San Giovanni, Reggio Calabria and Saline in an administrative-management unicum that has unified the development strategies of the port infrastructures of the entire Messina Strait Area.
